This member spotlight was written by Gabrielle Jean-Louis, a student at Salem Academy and intern with REACH Women's Network. This blog post was part of her project to conduct information interviews with REACH members.

Morgan Hubbard works as a corporate account manager at Graylyn Estate and Conference Center. She coordinates companies and employees from across the world to attend conferences at Graylyn. Working in hospitality, Morgan’s day-to-day tasks are never repetitive or mundane; she typically follows a loose structure of checking emails, talking to clients, and making phone calls each day, but flexibility and adaptability are essential skills for Morgan work.
For her, the best part of her career is the people. Morgan finds herself surrounded by a group of people at work who are like a family to her; they often sit down and eat together.
Advice
As for many others, working through COVID was very difficult for Morgan. Her job is to bring people together in person, something that was virtually impossible during the pandemic. Following COVID, most people were very reluctant to return to large group gatherings and participate in togetherness. Morgan’s job was to rebuild this togetherness and encourage people to come together again at Graylyn. To face the strain of COVID-era hospitality work, Morgan made sure to hold her boundaries between work and home. She says that the only way to balance work and home life is to keep work at work and home at home.
REACH
Morgan’s first experience with REACH was four years ago at a conference where she was seeking networking opportunities. She joined the conference committee and played a role in building REACH from the ground up. For Morgan, the sisterhood that REACH provides is incredibly meaningful. Following the birth of her twins, REACH served as a resource for personal time and space, a community in which women could come together and meet each other where they are, helping to push each other forward. To Morgan, the biggest impact of joining this organization was that REACH tells you and teaches you to stop for yourself and to advocate for yourself.
